Cylinders 32–38

In our penultimate collection of her testimony, I find myself connected to Lenora more deeply than I ever could have anticipated when I came into possession of her trunk.

Just as Tim seems to have something to say to her, it feels as though Lenora is trying to speak to me. Is that possible? I can’t help but wonder what she would have to say to someone who happened upon her belongings a century later.

As we approach the final bundle of Lenora’s recordings next week, I wanted to say that I have done my best to curate these cylinders and the supporting artifacts alongside them, but I do rely on your combined observations to guide that curation. Ms. Bowen left more behind than I’ve been able to find correlations for, and should you notice any glaring omissions that would help to assemble the missing parts of her story, you need only ask. I will endeavor to provide what I can.

Making myself available to you is the least I can do for all the help you have given me.

Dear S.P., it looks like cylinder #23 is missing from last week’s posted photo. Might you look around to see if it Is still in the trunk?

That recording is rather creepy, if I may say so. Suspicious that its sound is so distorted compared to the rest of the cylinders.

And just listen to those lyrics:

By the light of the silvery moon

I want to spoon

To my honey, I'll croon love's tune

Honey moon, keep a-shinin' in June

Your silvery beams will bring love's dreams

We'll be cuddlin' soon

By the silvery moon

::shivers::

Someone get on Shazam and identify that song from the music box! It definitely wasn’t “By the Light of the Silvery Moon”.

Also, can we get a replacement gear from the internet for poor Tim’s watch?

I already tried Shazam but it could not identify the music box tune.
